projects - The Veils
The Veils formed in 2001 but they weren't to reach my ears until 2008 and since then it's been an emotional ride. From the first time I'd heard them to the most recent they've never failed to impress me and the live shows are simply outstanding. They remain a mystery to the commercial music scene/industry because if anyone listens to them, you'll fall in love. And it amazes me that so many bands out there make it whilst The Veils sit waiting patiently, delivering outstanding album after oustanding album.
So far I've only seen them three times; in London twice and once in Manchester. It seems they prefer to tour in Europe and especially Amsterdam and although one day I do intend to see them there, it's evaded me so far. Above are a few photos I've taken of their gig at the Ruby Lounge but I hope that as long as they keep going, I'll keep trying to see them.
